ROSEHANNA ELIZABETH “HANNA” PLUMLEY Born on a beautiful Fall day in 1992, Hanna Plumley, left this Earth on a sunny Spring day on May 17, 2022. The beautiful, kind, funny and talented daughter of Rosalee Juba-Plumley, and Randel K. Plumley, mother extraordinaire to her beloved twins Randy and Charlie who were born October 12, 2021, and best friend and love for the last 8 years to Scott Spence, lost her valiant 9 year battle with substance disorder and subsequent depression. This world became dimmer on that day. For the last two years, Hanna had been in complete recovery and had devoted her life to helping others find a recovery path. She had intended to finish her degree in social work this Fall so that she could progress in her chosen calling to help others in recovery. Her work at Westbrook and then at Harmony Ridge Recovery gave her so much joy and sense of self-worth. Being pregnant with her babies from February, 2021, until their birth on October 12, 2021, was also pure joy for Hanna. She gave those boys such a wonderful place to live for 9 months. They were able to enjoy the womb of a person at peace with herself and life. They knew nothing but kindness and serenity during that 9 months, often being serenaded daily by their Mother and Father. Hanna also gave them baby yoga, pregnancy massages and pure eating of nothing but healthy stuff. She was the only person I have ever known that craved salads during pregnancy. Then, this beautiful Mother devoted herself to those boys for the first seven months of their lives until she passed on May 17, 2022. She exposed them to great music, often took them to sobriety meetings and shared them with anyone who needed a baby hug. She and Scott had created a beautiful home with the most perfect baby room and had given them two parents who took exceptional care of their children. People often comment on how happy and healthy those babies are. They are such happy, healthy babies because their parents made them that way. Hanna was preceded in death by her beloved Father who passed of COVID on May 11, 2020. Hanna and Randy had a close bond and when he passed, she was left with a hole in her heart that had not quite ever healed. Additionally, all of her Grandparents, including her Maw Maw Juba who believed the sun rose and set with Miss Hanna, and many aunts and uncles have preceded her in death. Left to figure out how to live life without her light are her devoted Mother, Rosalee Juba-Plumley, her babies, she always called them “my babies”, Charlie and Randy, and her best friend and love, Scott Spence. Also left to try and figure out how to carry on without her are her God Fathers, Tim Abbott, Warren Stone and Mike Pauley, her other Mother, Ellen Mills Pauley, her remaining Aunts and Uncles, she was especially close to her Aunt Murriel and Uncle/Cousin Donnie, her cousins and many, many other relatives and friends, including her “in-laws”, Stephanie, Stacy, sister Janie and Maw Maw. Besides her Mother, the person with the longest close and dear relationship with Hanna P. is her sister of the heart, Hanna Hereford, or Hanna H. as she was known to all of Hanna P’s family. There were very few memories in Hanna P’s life that did not involve Hanna H. To know Hanna, one would have to know that she always gave money to any drug addict or street person without judgment of any kind, even if it was just a dollar. She not only gave them money but took the time to extend a hand or touch and wish them better days. Please take the time to commit one of these acts of kindness in her honor. Each one of us has been touched by and forever changed by her sunshine. We all miss and love you Hanna.
