A celebration of Karen’s life will be held at 3pm Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Teays Valley Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Charles V. Williams officiating. Perry of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Winfield died suddenly October 28, 2017 in Myrtle Beach, one day shy of her 68th birthday. She was born October 29, 1949, in Gauley Bridge, West Virginia, to Elizabeth Wills Tully and the late Donald C. Tully. She was a 1967 graduate of Collins High School, Oak Hill as well as the WV Institute of Technology, Montgomery with a degree in accounting. She has been associated with Chapman and Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Homes, Hurricane, Winfield and St. Albans for over 31 years and was a member of the Teays Valley Church of the Nazarene. Through her dedication, expertise and guidance, Karen was an integral part of the funeral homes, her church and the community, a true friend to all. She and her husband, Howard, recently relocated to Myrtle Beach as she loved the ocean. Karen touched the lives of every person she met. She always had a smile on her face and was ready to help anyone at any time. Her selfless character and unconditional love for everyone was beyond measure. Karen is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Howard R. Perry; sons, Marc Perry and his wife, Amy along with their children, Emily and Zane of Crittenden, KY and Heath Perry and his wife, Laura along with their children, Laurie and Slade of Saucier, MS; her mother, Elizabeth Ann Wills Tully of Oak Hill, WV; sisters, Kathy Shumaker (fiancé, Richard Harvey) of Oak Hill, Donna Parker of Myrtle Beach, SC; father and mother-in-law, Frank and Lois Perry of Shrewsbury, WV; sister-in-law, Becky Vandergriff (Paul); and her many loving nieces and nephews. She was laid to rest in Myrtle Beach and a celebration of her life will be held locally mid-November in West Virginia. Details will be released in the near future.
