Arnold L. French

Arnold "Arnie" L. French II passed away on August 10, 2017, after an ongo-ing and courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 29, 1967 to Arnold L. French and Shirley A. French in Cumberland, Maryland. He was raised and resided in South Florida for most of his life. He married Jenny (Scruggs) French on December 31, 2015 and they resided in St. Al-bans, WV. Arnie was intelligent, talented and ambitious in many ways. Arnie graduated from Stranahan High School in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. As a Marine, he served our country, Semper Fi. Arnie received his BS in Business and Finance from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from Palm Beach Atlantic University. He enjoyed a very successful career in the financial services industry, in addition to entrepreneurial ventures. He was passionate about music and playing his guitars; Arnie was certified as a scuba diver; enjoyed travel, family, food and fun. His cat Sinatra was his longtime companion. He is survived by his wife Jenny; mother Shirley A. French; brother Quinn E. French; nieces Lau-ren (Dakkota) Albaugh & Casey (Carl Kendall) French, great nieces Madelynn Albaugh and Ken-nedy Kendall, and great-nephew Mason Albaugh; step-daughter Whitney Williams; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom loved and adored him and his beautiful, caring and funny spirit. He is preceded in death by, and reunited with: his father, Arnold L. French; Paternal Grand-mother Mildred (Millie) French; Paternal Grandfather, Ervin (Bud) French; Maternal Grandmother Anna M. Mellott; Uncle, Robert "Buddy" French; and cousin, Amanda French. Arnie will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was the life of the party and could make anyone laugh. We will treasure all the memories and laughter he gave us in his lifetime. Arnie will be cremated and a memorial celebration of his life will be planned for the near future. On behalf of his survivors we ask that you gain and spread awareness about colorectal cancer. We greatly appre-ciate all sympathies, however in lieu of flowers you may make donations to the American Cancer Society or any cancer related charity in Arnie's honor.
