Barbara Clay Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Barbara Sue Spencer Clay, 54, of Winfield, passed away on June 3, 2010 at her residence surround by her loving family. Barbara was born on May 24, 1956 to Isabell Myers Spencer and the late John Spencer in Charleston WV. In addition to her father she was also preceded in death by her husband Normal C. Clay, and her brother, Jackie L. Spencer. Barbara worked for Captain D?s for over 29 years serving as an Area Supervisor and General Manager as well as many other positions. She had attended both Teays Valley Missionary Baptist Church and more recently Nitro Church of Christ. The loved ones Barbara leaves behind to cherish her memory are, her loving companion and caregiver Victor Hoalcraft of Winfield, her mother; Isabell Spencer,of Charleston, her sisters; Patricia A. Pauley of Charleston, Penny Armstead and her husband Douglas, of Nitro, Nancy Facemyre and her husband James, of Scott Depot; her brothers: John Spencer and his wife Mary of Hurricane, and Buddy Rodger Spencer and his wife Belda of Sissonville, 14 nieces and nephews, and 16 great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services for Barbara will be 1:00pm Monday June 7, at Chapman Funeral Home, Winfield, with the Dr. John Smith and Minister Greg Culvertson officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memory Gardens, Red House WV. Friends may visit Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Chapman Funeral Home, Winfield and an hour prior to the service.
