Bert Parog Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Bert Nick Parog, 77, of St. Albans, passed away on Wednesday September 23, at the Hubbard Hospice House. Bert was born in Montcoal, Boone Co., on July 29, 1932, he was a son of the late Mike and Ethel Sabo Parog. He was also preceded in death by his brother Alex Parog. He is survived by his wife Sharon Bennett Parog of St. Albans, his sons; John M., Robert and his wife Amy, and Alex Parog all of St. Albans, grandchildren; Hannah, Michael, and Christopher, and his brother John Parog of St. Albans. Bert was retired from the Laborers Local Union # 1353 as a laborer. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, an avid hunter, fisher, trapper and great story teller. He also served his country in the US ARMY during the Korean Conflict. There will be a graveside service at 1:00pm on Monday September 28, at the Mt. Tabor Church of God Cemetery, Dry Ridge, St. Albans with Pastor David Stauffer officiating. Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Ave. St. Albans, will be handling arrangements.
