BH Bud Morgan

B.H. Bud Morgan, 79, of Teays Valley entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 7, 2014 at his home, after a nineteen month struggle with Thymic Carcinoma. He retired as distribution supervisor for Union Carbide after 36 years of service. He was a 1953 graduate of St. Albans High School, served four years in the military, returned home from Germany in 1956, married his high school sweetheart, raised his family in St. Albans, settled later in Teays Valley. Bud was beloved by many, a true friend's friend. His humor, compassion and “wanting things done right” were hallmarks of Bud's full life. “He was a legendary teller of tales,” all true stories and they will live through generations to come as told and shared among friends. Mostly he was a loving husband, father and “Poppy” to his beautiful granddaughter, “Krissy”. Bud was an avid golfer, spending time with his golf friends was something he looked forward to many times each week. Active with Boy Scouts of America, etc. taking care of family was always his top priority. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jean Morgan (celebrated 50th anniversary in Italy) son's Michael Morgan of St. Albans, Scott Morgan (Jana) of Middleberg, Florida, and granddaughter, Kristina M. Morgan, brother Frank (Lora) of Boise Idaho. Per the request of Bud, there will be no memorial service. His ashes will be scattered in the Atlantic Ocean during a private family ceremony.
