Dorothy Osborne Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dorothy McLaughlin Osborne died on December 1, 2010 in Danville, California. She was 93 years old. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 25, 1917. She married Clarence Hilton Osborne in 1935 who passed away in 1966. Dorothy resided on Abney Street and then Riverview Towers in St. Albans, WV. She was manager at Cox?s Department Store in St. Albans and Charleston until she retired. She was a charter member of the Trinity Baptist Church and member of the Women?s Club, the Green Valley C.E.O.S. Club and the Pilot Club all of St. Albans. She was also active in the High Lawn Baptist Church nursery. She moved to California in 2003 to be close to her family where she passed away. Surviving is her daughter Caroline Osborne Ferrell of Santa Barbara, California and granddaughter, Michelle Ferrell Glasman and husband Brad with their children; Seth and Sam of San Francisco, California. Visitation will be held from noon until 2:00pm Saturday December 11, 2010 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Ron Lee officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
