Guy Tucker Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Guy Edward Tucker, 63 of Scott Depot, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on September 19 2010 in CAMC Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Theo Audel Tucker, Sr. Guy is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Myers Tucker, and his children; Guy Edward Jr., Missy Holden of Holden Beach, NC and Paul and wife Susie. Also left to cherish is memory are is mother, Catherine Tucker; siblings Ronnie Tucker, Mary Thomas, Pam King, Tommy Tucker, Barbara Good and Kim Mellie; and grandchildren; Michelle Dyer, Chad Tucker, Jessica Holden, Guy Edward Tucker III and Steven Tucker; in-laws, Betty and David Myers and wife Terri and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who loved him and will greatly miss him. He was born on January 12, 1947 and resided in Charleston until he married Barbara in 1993. He then moved to Scott Depot where he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Guy was an avid Star Trek fan and spent many years cheering on the Thundering Herd. Over the years, Guy and Barb enjoyed spending their time at River City Therapy Riding Center in Milton, which provides therapy to individuals with disabilities through equestrian activities. Guy was especially fond of children and will always be remembered as a very special ?Santa?. Guy was loved and will always be thought fondly of for his kind heart and willingness to do for others. Funeral service will held at 6:00pm, Wednesday September 22, 2010 at Chapman Funeral Home, 3941 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane with Bishop Mark Blood officiating. A private entombment will be held at a later date. Friends may call two hours prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the staff at CAMC Memorial Cardiac Care Unit and Rehab for their dedicated service and excellent care. Barbara also wishes to thank the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for their love and support during this difficult time.
