James Fisher Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Hurricane, WV- James Eugene Fisher of Hurricane passed away December 27, 2011 at Teays Center, Hurricane, WV. Born October 16, 1953 in South Charleston, he was a son of the late James Edward and Barbara Ann Smith Fisher. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joe Eddie Fisher. Gene served his country with the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. Surviving are his children, Shannon Mitchell (Ryan) of St. Albans and Matt Fisher of Elkview; his sister, Becky Martens (Bob) of Hurricane; his brother, Bob Fisher (Alison) of St. Albans; his grandchildren, Juliette and Brayden Mitchell and Payton Olivia Fisher who is expected in February, 2012. Also surviving are his nephews, Adam Fisher of Virginia Beach, Chad Martens (Holly) of Cross Lanes, Aaron Fisher of St. Albans, Patrick Martens of Hurricane; his uncle and aunt, Lloyd and Marie Meadows of Nitro. Service will be 11am Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Chapman Funeral Home, 3941 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane with Jim McGehee officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Haven of Rest Memorial Gardens, Red House, WV. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Friday at the funeral home.
