Judy Andrews

Judy Faye Andrews, born April 11, 1949 (age 68) a 36 year resident of Scott Depot, passed away into the everlasting on Monday November 6, 2017 after latter stage complications in a three year battle with ovarian cancer, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. A West Virginia resident for the past 47 years she was born in southeastern Kentucky and raised by maternal grandparents in northern Kentucky (Cincinnati area). Happily married for 51 years to high school sweetheart, Wendell, a retired Union Carbide Chemical Engineer, she was primarily a wife and mother. After beloved son and daughter grew up, she worked at Lowe’s (Teays Valley business office for 8 years), retail sales (dress shops, home accents), and sold Home Interiors for one year. She cherished home decorating. In addition to parents and grandparents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Rogers, and a sister, Emma Jean Cravens. Judy was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and the most pleasant person you would have ever met. Left to cherish her memories are her beloved husband Wendell Andrews, her son Kevin Andrews and his wife Mary, daughter Christy Walls; grandsons, Jacob Andrews and Luke Walls; granddaughter, Erin Walls; step-grandchildren, Nathan and Jamie Reed and Angela Walls Kreis; step-great grandchildren, Andrew Berndt and Sidney Kreis. She is also survived by two half-sisters, Mary Lou Campbell and Jeannie Timmer, as well as sisters; Bertha Mockabie, Bettye Russell, and Louise Taylor (Reverend Henry), all of the Cincinnati area. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews in the Cincinnati area. A devoted Christian, member of Lakeview Christian Church, Hurricane, she has faithfully attended BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church (Teays Valley) for the last 15 years, with many dear BSF friends, especially Barb, Kyle and Wanda. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Service will held at 2:00pm Saturday November 11, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane with Pastor Jeff Maynard officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Hurricane. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral, Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations or memorial contributions in her memory can be made to Lakeview Christian Church, P.O.
