Margaret Stover Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

?She is with her Lord?. Margaret Stover, 85, of St. Albans passed from this life on December 4, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born October 18, 1926 in Czechoslovakia and came to the United States when she was 2 years old. She grew up in Beckley and has lived in St. Albans for the past 65 years. Margaret retired from the State of WV where she worked as a division supervisor for Workers Compensation. She was a lifelong member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in St. Albans. Margaret?s church and family were the center of her life. Her giving spirit and loving support will be missed by all who knew her. She could never look at you without first giving you a smile. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Family gatherings were her favorite times. She loved family vacations to the beach and trips with her daughters. She enjoyed reading, eating out with family and sitting on her front porch with neighbors. She will be missed dearly by her loving family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Surviving to celebrate her life are her five children; daughters, Susan (Vince) McCormick of Nitro, Barbara (Dr. Mark) Lambert of South Charleston, Kathy (John) Mitchell of Buckhead, GA, Cora (E.J.) White of Cumming, GA; son, Bob Stover and Carrie of St. Albans; brother, John Hutman of Virginia and sister, Mary Coponiti of Virginia. She will be sadly missed by her ten grandchildren, Chad, Amber, Kimberly, Duane, Bo, Chrissy, Jarod, Clay, Sarah and Derek. Her eight great grandchildren whom she dearly loved will miss her greatly. We celebrate Margaret?s life on Friday, December 9, 2011 with a special Mass of Christian burial at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 11:00 am with Father Pat McDonough as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Cunningham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home in St. Albans, with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm by Father Pat.
