Mark Richard Kiser

Mark Richard Kiser, 48, an exceptionally loving husband and extraordinarily devoted father, went to be with the Lord Dec. 18, 2018. Formerly of Teays Valley, West Virginia, he lived in Lindale, Texas at the time of his passing. Mark was a graduate of Poca High School and The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He was the marketing and sales manager at Walhonde Tools, Inc. for 21 years. He owned and operated Kiser Industrial Tools, LLC and had just begun a new career at Delek Refining in December. The family historian, Mark researched genealogies and linked family members back in time to the American Revolutionary War, the Crusades and the signing of the Magna Carta. An avid basketball player during his youth, he coached Teays Valley Christian Boys and Girls High School Basketball as well as numerous other sports teams as his children grew. Mark was also a talented musician and played banjo as part of a bluegrass ensemble in Tyler, Texas called Boonshine as well as in Redeemer Presbyterian Church of America’s Worship Band in Tyler. He loved hunting, fishing, football, and the West Virginia Mountaineers. Mark was a lifelong Christian and a true Christ follower. He and his family worshiped with their church family at Redeemer PCA in Hurricane and Redeemer PCA in Tyler. He served the church in many capacities including as a Deacon. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Kiser. Mark is survived by his wife of 27 years, Christina McClure Kiser, whom he met at age eight. They have four beautiful children, Joshua (Mikaela) Kiser of Charleston; Rachel of Huntington; Rachel’s fiancé Kade Doss of Logan; and Alisha and Sarah of Lindale. He is survived by his parents Patricia and George Hampton; maternal grandmother Gatha Rhodes; and brother Eddie, all of Ripley. Many friends and family will always cherish his kind, gracious spirit and hold his legacy close to their hearts. For those who wish to extend condolences, visitation will be held at Redeemer Presbyterian Church located 3965 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane Sunday, Dec. 23 at 1 p.m. with the memorial service beginning at 2:30pm. Mark will be laid to rest at the Jeffries Family Cemetery located at 2660 Alpin Ridge Rd., Gay, WV.
