Mary Beth Garcia Reynolds

Mary Beth Garcia Reynolds went to be with the Lord at 8:43 p.m. on October 23, 2016 in her home, surrounded by her family, at the age of 56. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Garcia I, Edith Johnson Garcia, and father-in-law, Harold Reynolds. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, H. Richard Reynolds M.D.; children: Kathleen Reynolds Dodson (Josh), Marcus Reynolds D.P.T (Laura), Sarah Reynolds Carper (Zach); grandchildren, Addison and Carson Dodson; brother, Joseph Garcia II, (Melody); mother-in-law, Betty A. Reynolds; as well as several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Beth, the daughter of Joseph Garcia and Edith Johnson Garcia, was born February 16, 1960 in Charleston, West Virginia. She was united into holy matrimony to H. Richard Reynolds M.D. in June of 1981, whom she met while working at the Family Practice Center at Thomas Memorial Hospital. Together they were blessed with three children. Beth graduated from Saint Albans High School in 1978, attended Marshall University from 1978-1980, and graduated from West Virginia University in 1982 with a degree in Business and a minor in Accounting. At an early age Beth professed her faith in Jesus Christ, and she was a dedicated member of Gateway Christian Church. There, she worked with the youth group and volunteered many hours toward mission trips and support for the community. Beth was a joy to everyone who knew her. She was passionate about her faith, cooking, gardening, helping others, and spending time with her family and friends. Her generous spirit and bright smile were loved by many. Her Christian faith and love will forever remain an influence on the lives of all who knew her. The visitation and funeral are scheduled for Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Gateway Christian Church. The visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with the service following. Pastor Dave Stauffer and Reverend Holley Faulkner will officiate the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Beth’s life.
