Mary E. "Edie" Davis

With profound sadness, we share the passing of Mary Edythe “Edie” Davis, a devoted wife, loving mother, faithful Christian, and cherished friend, who passed away on July 27, 2026 at the age of 71. Born on January 13th, 1955 in Bluefield, WV, Edie lived a life defined by faith, service, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She was a proud graduate of Charleston High School, Class of 1973, and went on to earn her degree from Marshall University in 1975. For 45 years, Edie dedicated her career to Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC), where she touched countless lives through her commitment, compassion, and professionalism. Her work reflected the same caring spirit she brought to every aspect of her life. A woman of strong faith, she was a devoted member of St. John United Methodist Church, where her relationship with God guided her throughout her life. She was also an active member of Alpha Chi Omega and the Putnam County Republican Women, organizations through which she built lasting friendships and served her community. Outside of her career and community involvement, Edie found great joy in crafting. She especially loved cross-stitching and making handmade cards, sharing her creativity with family and friends through thoughtful, heartfelt gifts. Above all else, she loved her family. She was the beloved wife of Jeff, with whom she shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. She was the proud and devoted mother of three daughters, whose lives were forever shaped by her endless encouragement, wisdom, and unconditional love. Nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with those she loved most. She is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Jeff; her three daughters: Ashley Davis Reed (Mark), Katie Davis Perperas (Nick), and Lindsay Davis Johnson (Bobby); her five cherished grandchildren: Jack Perperas, Andrew Perperas, Mark Reed II, Parker Johnson, and Isla Johnson; her brother, Rick Miller (Tiffany); and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Lil Miller. Her legacy of faith, generosity, creativity, and unconditional love will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. A Celebration of Edie’s Life will be 4:00pm Sunday August 2, 2026 at St. John United Methodist Church located at 4536 Teays Valley Road Scott Depot, WV 25560 with Pastor Jarrod Caltrider officiating.
