Patricia Jones Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Patricia Louise Jones, 79 of Sebastian, Florida, formally of St. Albans took her last earthly breath and went home to be with her Heavenly Father on February 2, 2010. She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Cobb, daughter Donna Jean Perry, brothers, Charles and Tom Cobb and sister, Nancy Cook. Pat worked alongside of her husband for many years in his business, D.H. Jones Heating & Cooling. She taught Sunday school at Fairview Presbyterian Church, St. Albans. She was a talented artist and enjoyed painting and crafts, and would spend hours doing these with her grandchildren. Her greatest love in life was her Lord, her husband, her family and her friends. She raised seven wonderful children and loved each of them individually, yet equally the same. She had a wonderful knack for making everyone feel as if they were her "favorite" and that they were the special one. When in fact, it was her that was special. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Darrell Hoyt Jones of Sebastian, FL; her grieving mother, Cleo Cobb of St. Albans; her children, Daniel (Donna), of St. Albans ; David of St. Albans; Debra (Jeff) Cavender of Gaffney, SC; Dwayne of Hurricane; Derrick (Dorma) of Prattville, AL and Deirdre (Tony) Thomas of Monument, CO. In addition, she is survived by her sister Bella Leadore of Sebastian, FL and her brother Jim (Lena) Cobb of St. Albans. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, whom loved and adored her while she was here on earth. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans. Following the services she will be laid to rest at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00pm Saturday at the funeral home.
