Paul E. Thompson

Paul E. Thompson 84, of Winfield formerly of Richmondale, Chillicothe, Ohio passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice House West, South Charleston. Right now, for my wife and I there is a house being built by our son. How much I appreciate the love that goes into that house with every nail and board. However, I won’t be able to live in that house, you see I am going to a mansion a little farther away. My heavenly father waits there for me, to welcome me, along with my infant son, Douglas Thompson, parents, Carl and Nina Thompson; my brother Robert Thompson, other family members and friends from my hometown. I will be waiting for Betty Jones Thompson my wife of 59 years, my children that I love so much and I am so proud of. Daughter, Tonya “Toni” Sovine and husband Victor; son, Dave Thompson and wife Angie; daughter, Karen Kuhn and husband Eston all of Winfield. Also surviving are my grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, Jonathon, and Joseph Sovine, Peyton and Jordon Thompson, Jada and Jared Kuhn and great granddaughters, Jayden and Alexis Sovine; sisters, Ruth Garrison of CA. and Delores Seymore of Chillicothe; brother, Carl Thompson of Fla., Donald Thompson and Gary Thompson both of Chillicothe I leave many nephews and nieces all special in their own ways and personalities, and a blessing of many friends. I have lived a good life, I will miss you all, but don’t mourn for long, life is too short for that. Make your peace with God, I have. I wish for you to live the rest of your life in happiness. To everyone I leave a “Great Big Hug” and for my family know that I love you all. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home, Winfield with Pastor Andy Colagrosso officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday prior to the funeral service.
