Ronald Erwin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ronald Scott Erwin, 48, of Scott Depot passed away Wednesday August 31, 2010. Scott was born on July 10, 1963, the only son to Janice C. Mooney and the late Ronald Clay Erwin. In addition to his father he was also preceded by his paternal grandparents Owen and Emma Erwin, his maternal grandparents, Clinton and Genevieve Chapman. Scott was the Owner and Operator of Scott Erwin Insurance Agency, Nationwide Insurance with his daughter Brittany working with him, a member of Pine Grove Church of Christ, Scott Depot, and was a huge dedicated outdoors enthusiast who enjoyed hunting on his farm to recently zip lining to camping, and a major WVU football fan. In the past he was very active in Putnam County Rotary and Chamber of Commerce. Surviving Scott are his daughters Tabitha Stover, her husband Josh, of Fayetteville WV and Brittany Erwin at home, his beloved grand-dog Molly, his mother Janice Chapman Mooney and husband Phil Mooney of Poca, sister Sandra McCallister and husband Richard of Hurricane, their children Garrett and Benjamin McCallister at home, and his niece Brenna Tucker of Newport News VA. Funeral service for Scott will be 11:00am Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane with Ministers Randy Chapman and George Erwin officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Hurricane. Friends may visit the family Friday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
