Ruby Morris Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Eleanor, WV- Ruby Marie Morris, 84, of Eleanor, WV went to be with her Lord Friday evening, January 21, 2011. Born Ruby Marie Staats on May 26, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Staats. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda A. Turner; sister, Elaine S. Rawlings. Living her early life and attending schools in Jackson County, WV, near Ripley, Marie most recently was a resident of Eleanor and was an active member of the Winfield Church of the Nazarene where she was a past Missionary president, served on the Board and annually attended the Nazarene District Assembly Meeting as a Delegate. Her life touched many while she was employed in the elementary school system in the Charleston area as a special education assistant until her retirement. Her gentle spirit touched many around her and will be missed greatly. Surviving are her loving husband, Rev. Clyde H. Morris of Eleanor; her daughter, Teresa M. Cox (Bill) of Lawrenceburg, IN; her son, Gerald C. Wiseman, II of Gallipolis, OH; her step-daughter, Terry L. Bowers of Richland, WA; her brother, Joy Arvil Staats of North Carolina; three grandchildren. A service of remembrance will be held at 7pm Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the Winfield Church of the Nazarene, with Pastors Hayes and Fulton officiating.
