Tracy Milam

Tracy Lea Milam, 38 of St. Albans went to be with the Lord on Saturday November 5, 2011 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston. Born September 10, 1973 in Charleston, she was the daughter Sandra Stephens Milam of St. Albans and the late Larry D. ?Satch? Milam. She was also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James W. and Alice Milam and maternal grandfather, William G. Stephens. Tracy was a registered nurse and was last employed as a travel nurse in Texas. She formerly worked at CAMC General and CAMC Memorial hospitals in the emergency department as well as Thomas Memorial Hospital in the OB-Gyn Department. She currently worked at Dollar General Store, Nitro. She was a graduate of Cross Lanes Christian School and attended Cedarville College (now University). She was a graduate of the Glenville State College/ WVU Consortium Program, attaining an RN, BSN Degree. Tracy will be remembered as a caring, loving young woman who tirelessly strived to meet the needs of others. She wanted others to remember her by saying ?Tracy was kind?. Her laugh was contagious; her personality magnetic. She never met a stranger and often said that she could ?talk to the wall.? Her zeal for life and her smile will be forever missed. She was an ardent animal lover and dearly cherished her cats, Luke, Lilly, Sammy, Rachael and Kaleb. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Terri and John Farrell of Charlotte, NC; brother, Jason Stephens of St. Albans; nephew, Daniel Farrell of Charlotte, NC; maternal grandmother, Jean Stephens of Cedar Grove; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends who will miss her greatly. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday November 9, 2011 at Spring Hill Baptist Church, 4707 Ohio Street, South Charleston with Pastor Mark Patton officiating. Burial will be at Emma Chapel Cemetery, Liberty. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 pm Tuesday at Spring Hill Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans, WV 25177.
