Vickie Tuitt Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On May 10, 2010, Vickie departed this life and headed home to be with the Lord. Vickie was born in Whitesville, WV. She graduated from Sherman High School in Boone County and then the Charleston General Hospital School of X-ray Technology. During her thirty-year career, she held various positions including radiologic technologist, assistant radiology department supervisor and hospital liaison for Southern Illinois University radiology students, culminating with her employment at CAMC Memorial Division. Her marriage to the late Robert Adams produced two children, Frances Virginia "Ginny" and Martin "Marty" Adams, deceased. In 1993, Vickie met and fell in love with musician, Charlie "Tee" Tuitt. They were married from 1998 until the time of her passing. Vickie is survived by her husband, Charlie of St. Albans; daughter Frances Virginia Adams of Atlanta, GA; mother Helen Sutphin of St. Albans; brother, Danny Sutphin (Pat) of Clarksville, Virginia; sister, Diane Sanney (Bob) of St. Albans, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. For everyone who knew Vickie, please know that she loved you all and cherished her time with each and every one of you. A memorial service in her honor will be held at 2:00pm Saturday May 15, 2010 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans.
