David Cleon Groff

David Cleon Groff, 77, of Scott Depot, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022. David retired as an electrical and mechanical engineer for Kanawha Manufacturing, and then owned a vending machine business. He loved tinkering with motorcycles, airplanes, western shooting and many other hobbies. He was born December 5, 1944, in Charleston, to the late Clayton and Audrey Groff. He is survived by his wife, Linda Groff of Scott Depot; son, Carl David Groff of Scott Depot; sisters, Judy Romano of Scott Depot and Sharon Oxley of Scott Depot; brothers, Daniel Groff of Hurricane and Keith Groff of Hurricane; and many other extended family and friends. A Memorial Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane, with Pastor James Dennis officiating. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
