Mary Hall Lekas Ash
January 15, 1931 - December 28, 2018
Mary Hall Lekas Ash, 87, of Tornado went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 28, 2018 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born in Charleston to the late Jim and Minnie Pearl Hanna Neeley. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Theodore Lekas and Arlen “Dick” Ash; daughter, Denise Brewer; daughter-in-law, Misti Ash; brother, James Neeley; sisters, Helen, Ruth, Ethel, Grace and Eloise. Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Washington Street Church of Christ, St. Albans. She was a graduate of Elkview High School and loved antiques, going to the Amish Country and most of all she loved kids. Surviving are her children, Dinia Dunlap (Louie), Annette Burns (Warren), Cathy Linville (John), Sadaria Shinault (Doug), Mike Lekas (Jackie), Scott Ash and Mark Ash; sister, Geneva Wehrle. Also surviving are her loving grandchildren, Tony, Kista, Corey, Josh, Hannah, Tiffany, Christopher and Lindsey; 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and her faithful companions, Cricket and Joe. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans with Minister Ronnie Linville officiating. Burial will be in Hanna-Neeley Cemetery, Charleston. Friends may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the funeral service.
