Randel Keith Plumley

September 2, 1957 - May 11, 2020

Randel Keith Plumley, age 62, devoted Dad to Hanna and Husband to Rosy, died at home on May 11, 2020, due to complications from advanced respiratory disease. Randy was born September 2, 1957, on his Mother’s birthday, in Logan County, West Virginia, to Billie Calloway Plumley and Lucille (Marcum) (Plumley) Betker. Randy was preceded in death by his Father, Billie Plumley, his Mother, Lucille Betker, his Step-Mother, Opal Plumley, his Step-Father, Julius Betker, and his brother, Gregory Plumley. Randy is survived by his Wife of 33 years, Rosalee (Rosy) Juba-Plumley, and his much loved daughter and the light of his life, Rosehanna (Hanna) Plumley. Randy was also survived by his siblings, Roger Plumley (Mary) of Indianapolis, Indiana; Ronald Plumley (Duannae) of Chapmanville, West Virginia; William (Pete) Plumley (Debbie), of Humbolt, Texas; Katie (Kayce) Ferguson (William), of Mt. Home, Idaho; and finally, his baby borther/nephew, with who he shared a very special bond and with whom he shared most if not all life’s special occasions for the last 35 years, Donnie Plumley (Stephanie) of Barboursville, West Virginia. Randy is also survived by a host of in laws, nieces, nephews, who were all a very special part of his life. Randy especially had a close bond with all his brothers in law, loving nothing more than sharing a cold one with any of them. Randy was a carpenter by trade and has left hand made legacies across the State. He built the log home in which he and his family lived for the last 10 years and every room in that house has his loving hand upon it. Randy loved his log home, his dogs and Basement Kitty and he loved his family. Randy was always up for a good fishing trip, a pig roast, spending time outside camping on a river bank, spending time with his friends and a Budweiser. Randy leaves a lot of people who have loved him and will miss him dearly. It was Randy’s wishes to be cremated. Due to the whole COVID situation, we will hold a gathering for family and friends later in the Summer where we can raise a toast to Randy’s enthusiasm for life.
