Da Nang Vietnam Meritorious Mast Presented to Lance Corporal Ronnie E. McClaugherty, USMC 9 July 1970 Since you, Lance Corporal McClaugherty have joined the Administration Section and were assigned the duties of Reports Clerk, Combat Casualty Reports NCO and S&C Clerk, you have exhibited character traits that place you well above the normal Marine. Immediately upon being assigned these tasks, you enthusiastically applied yourself and by your own initiative worked long and tedious hours at night to improve your performance and ensure that all reports and files entrusted to you were up to date and in excellent condition. As the Reports Clerk you have maintained an excellent record for promptness and accuracy. While performing as the Combat Casualty Reports NCO, you immediately made yourself available during all Rocket alerts, readily hastened to the Air Group Dispensary to check on casualties and ensured that all casualty reports were rapidly and accurately submitted. As the S&C Clerk, you have maintained a strict control of all classified material and meticulous accounting records. It was primarily through your personal initiative, continuing efforts and unswerving diligence that the Administrative Section received a grade of satisfactory with no discrepancies on it’s last A&M Inspection. Your exceptionally fine example as an outstanding Marine is exemplified by your eager willingness to work, neat military appearance and conscientious application to your work. Your overall performance has definitely brought great credit upon yourself, this command and the US Marine Corps.
