Alma Tucker

Alma A. Tucker of St. Albans died peacefully on Sunday, September 11, 2016 with her devoted husband of 62 years, Douglas, by her side and surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was 80 years old. Alma was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Sisson; parents, Lawrence and Virginia Terry; brother, Joe Terry and nephew, Michael Dayton. She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Tucker; son, Stephen Tucker and his wife, Jean of Camp Hill, PA; daughter, Michele Hatfield and her husband Dale of Scott Depot, WV; grandchildren, Jeremy Sisson and his wife, Tanya of Lakewood Ranch, FL; Meghan Musser and her husband, Dave of Enola, PA; Brett Sisson and his wife, Jenny of Myrtle Beach, SC; Jason Tucker and his wife, Jenna of Summerville, SC; Jeffrey Sisson and his fiancé, Amanda Cooper of Nitro, WV; Erica Hanna and her husband, Joshua of Virginia Beach, VA; Drake, Dylan and Ian Hatfield all of Scott Depot, WV; great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Layla Sisson of Lakewood Ranch, FL; Veronica, Elianna, Stephen and Wesley Musser of Enola, PA; Elenore and Lorelai Sisson of Myrtle Beach, SC; Jameson and Jacob Tucker of Summerville, SC; Maleigha Bryant and Caleb Sisson of Nitro, WV; sisters, Freda Kline of Columbus, OH; Edna Haines of Coshocton, OH and brother, Jim Terry and his wife, Susie of Warsaw, OH. Alma was a graduate of Dunbar High School and she attended West Virginia State College. She was a tax preparer for H&R Block in Nitro for nearly 40 years and had achieved Enrolled Agent credentials with the IRS. She absolutely loved her job and the clients she saw year after year. Alma was dedicated to her family and to her Faith in Christ. She was a member of Lower Falls Baptist Church in St. Albans. She had a loving disposition and was a genuine caretaker, always putting others first. Her wonderful personality and sincere heart drew people to her and she was sincerely loved by everyone who knew her. Alma touched so many lives and she will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 16, 2016 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans with Pastor Brian Donze officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
