Anita Lyon Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Anita Lewis Lyon, 84, of St. Albans, passed away peacefully at Hubbard Hospice House, West, South Charleston, on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011. Anita was born March 29, 1927 in Wheeling but lived the majority of her life in St. Albans. She was a wife and homemaker who loved her family and friends very much. Full of generosity and unending love, her gift was truly one of encouragement. She always had a kind word and a big smile for those who knew her and those with whom she would meet. Anita was a Christian and long time member of Highlawn Baptist Church of St. Albans. She will be missed by all. Anita is preceded in death by her loving husband, Warren C. and her son, Warren II. She will be greatly missed by her son, Jack and wife Kim, her grandchildren, Baker, Aaron and wife Tera, and daughter of Warren II, Suli, sisters, Dolores Jeffers Smailes and husband Chuck, Phyllis Jeffers Barnes, brother and sister in-laws Glen and Nora Lou Smith, Kenneth and Patty Lyon, and nieces and nephews, Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Ave., St. Albans, with nephew, Rev. Kevin Lyon officiating. Gravesite service will follow at Cunningham Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Monday, December 5, 2011 at the funeral home.
