Aurellia Dunlap

Aurellia Dunlap of Scott Depot, WV, formerly of Nitro, WV and Witcher Creek, WV passed away at age 93 surrounded by the warmth and endless love of her extensive family, both here and already gone on September 17, 2017. Aurellia was one of the most special people anyone could have ever met. She selflessly gave up so much to raise, help raise, and take care of so many and she never thought for an instant about it. Many of her favorite memories over the years were the huge family summer picnic reunions and Christmas party reunions each year that everyone loved so much. She loved to laugh. She loved her family dearly and she loved her church family. It would require a book to cover all the great things that need to be said about her and her life, but those who knew her already know and she requested to keep things simple. Just know that she was the last in the line of large and amazing family that was truly something very special that few have the privilege to belong to. She is celebrating with all of them now and there is no doubt it is the best reunion she’s ever had. She will be loved and thought of daily by all the remaining family until the biggest celebration of all. The number of family and friends she loved and who loved her is too enormous to count. She is survived by her son Ronnie Dunlap and his wife Darlina, grandson John D Williams and his wife Tami, granddaughter Candi Hatfield and her husband Chuck, grandson Mark Hartman, great grandchildren Tyler Mays Williams, Ashley Christopher, Adam Anderson, Elisse Anderson and Jocelyn Hartman and great great grandchild Gavin Hartman. Preceding her death were her husband Ira Dunlap, grandson Shannon Dunlap, daughters Sherry Hartman and June Persinger, parents Charles & Francis Farmer, brothers Camillus Farmer, Rudolph Farmer, Warren Farmer, Ed Farmer, sisters Helen Trail, Juanita Hamby, Iris Petry and Gloria Brewer, grandson Mathew Hartman, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends too numerous to list that she loved so much. She requested a very simple private funeral with the family, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and she does not want them to dress up. She asked that instead of flowers, you make a donation to her church. Good Shepard Baptist in Scott Depot, WV. She wrote in her journal “Good bye to all of you. Just remember I loved all of you dearly. Be good and I will meet you again in heaven.
