Barbara Crawford Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Barbara Sue Crawford, 57, of Hurricane died February 7, 2010 at home. Born on July 22, 1952 in Portsmouth, OH, she was a daughter of Lois J. Cook Crawford of Hurricane and the late Dr. Paul Crawford. Barbara was a 1970 graduate of Athens High School in Athens OH and attended Ohio University and West Virginia State College. She was a homemaker, a member of the West Virginia Democrats and a breast cancer survivor. She fought a courageous battle against cancer and other health issues and persevered for many years. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son Matthew and his wife Nicole Massey of Scott Depot and daughter Allison Massey of Scott Depot; sister Sarah and her husband Dana Campbell of Winfield; brother Danny and wife Michele of Arlington, TX; grandchildren Bennett and Brady Massey of Scott Depot; nieces Miranda Vance and Jennifer Allison; nephew Jeremy Crawford and great niece Emilee Allison. Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Chapman Funeral Home, Teays Valley. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until the 7:00 p.m. service. Burial will be in the Haven of Rest Memorial Gardens, Red House at a later date.
