Constance Williams

Constance “Connie” Jean Miller Williams, 57 of South Charleston, passed away Wednesday after a courageous battle with cancer. She had a tremendous attitude and her faith in God was a testament to others. Connie is with her Heavenly Father and her total healing is now complete. Born July 16, 1957 in South Charleston, she was a daughter of Joy Hayes Miller of Bridgeport and the late William Crawford Miller. Connie was a graduate of St. Albans High School and Fairmont State College. She retired from the City of St. Albans as a payroll clerk with over 30 years of service. Her greatest passion was singing in the choir of the First Baptist Church in St. Albans where she’s attended for over 50 years. In addition to the choir Connie was also a member of the church’s knitting group. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 17 years, Thomas Earl Williams, Sr.; sister, Ruthann (Bill) Greathouse of Barrackville; brothers, Fred Miller of Mt. Olive, AL, David (Barbara Miller of Gassaway; step-children, Thomas Earl Williams Jr. (Kim) of South Charleston, James “Jim” Williams of Piqua, OH, Bobbie Jo (Chris) Risner of Springfield, OH and Christina Williams (Brian Wallace) of Huber Heights, OH; step-grandchildren, Christopher and Jamie Williams, Ashley Mae Williams, Kyle and Kaleb Baker, Zachary Risner, Brennan Smith, Kylie and Aiden Wallace, great-granddaughter, Lexi Baker; brother-in-law, Larry (Joyce) Williams of South Charleson; nieces, Angela Greathouse, Jade Lynn Barber, Erin Greathouse and Keely Williams; nephews, Casey Miller and Lee (Tracy) Williams ; great-nephew, Tanner and great-niece Ashlee. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Friday December 12, 2014 at First Baptist Church, 520 Second Street, St. Albans with the Rev. Joel Harpold officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. In following Connie’s wishes a reception celebrating her life will be held from Noon until the time of the service Friday at the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church.
