Daryl Jackson “Jack” Hayslett (74 yrs young) Jack passed from us to our Lord suddenly on March 15, 2018. He was born to Dorothy Winter and Daryl Clysman Hayslett on October 2, 1943. This amazing man has left his family saddened by his departure but his home with the Lord gives us peace. His beautiful voice rings out with people he admired in praise. My husband was a funny, intelligent, caring and loving man. He leaves me, Terryll Jane, our son and daughter-in-law - Andrew and Linda along with his most precious grandchildren, Luke and Ainsley, all of us in IRB, FL. Jack’s daughter and son-in law, Sherie and Bobby Starkey of Bryan, TX, will miss his wit and the love he had for them. Jack’s brother and sister-in-law, Walter “Tim” Hayslett and Susan, of Hurricane, WV, will keep his memory alive and help me with their stories of Jack, which they have many. They know how to keep me smiling. There are so many people who will miss him, including his two sons, Jeffrey and David and his daughter, Suzanne. Jack started his career on October 1, 1967, joining Local #466 Charleston, WV, IBEW. The years following included his projects with the Engineering Dept. Construction Division of the E I DuPont de Nemours & Co. on multiple assignments in Puerto Rico, Germany, Holland, Spain and Ireland as well as many domestic projects. After his last assignment, we returned to WV to continue his “love of the trade” owning Summit Electric Corp. in his hometown of Hurricane. This work gave him a sense of satisfaction and he truly loved the challenge. He was known for his ability to memorize site drawings and recall them when needed. Like I said, an amazing man. When it was finally time to retire, we moved to Indian Rocks Beach, FL, to be with our family. He loved playing with his grandchildren - his eyes shined when he could be with them. They will miss his presence and his wisdom in the years ahead. Now it’s time to celebrate Jack’s accomplishments and honor him. We invite you to join in with family and friends at Chapman Funeral Home in Teays Valley on Friday, March 23, from 6-8 pm and for services with Pastor Ron Brewer on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11am.
