Steven Elijah Green

On Saturday May 23, 2026 Steven Elijah Green 57, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Steve was born on March 21, 1969 in Hamlin, WV. Throughout his life Steve devoted himself to his family and friends, always offering support, kindness, and companionship. He will be remembered by those who knew him as someone who could always be counted on, who deeply valued his loved ones, and who never missed an opportunity to enjoy life. He spent his life making many happy memories, be it many family trips to Myrtle Beach, riding ATVs with family and friends, riding roller coasters at Kings Island or socializing at local establishments. Regardless, he tended to bring a smile to those that knew him, no matter what the activity. Outside of his children, which if you asked him, were his greatest accomplishments, was his business, Green’s Residential and Commercial Lawn Service was his greatest professional devotion. He took great pride in building a reputation on quality work and service. Some of his work could always be seen by the way he took care of several locations for the City of Hurricane, private customers, and the grounds of the Mardi Gras Casino and Resort in Cross Lanes, WV. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Spaulding; his father, Elijah Green; his son, Steven Christopher Green; his nephew, Cody David Priestley, and Janice Jewel Totten-who was like a second mother to him. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Kevin Lee Green of Jumping Branch, WV; daughter, Fanci (Adam) Nicole Estep of Racine, WV; wife, Tammy Green of St. Albans,WV; niece, Tiffany Priestley of Hurricane, WV; great-nephew, Thomas Reed of St. Albans, WV; as well as close family members Donna Shuler, Robert Spaulding, Michael Byus, Billy Erwin, and Pam Erwin. We will forever be thankful for all the guidance we have received and care from Kanawha Hospice, especially Ben and Jennifer. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services. He will be cremated and his children will privately remember his life while spreading his ashes in a place most memorable to him.
