Virginia Nell Perry Lee

Virginia Nell Perry Lee, 83, of St. Albans is now home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2015 at The Broadmore Senior Living, Hurricane. Born July 20, 1931 in Peach Creek, WV, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Dora Perry. She attended St. Albans High School, where she was a cheerleader. Gennie was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church, St. Albans, where she served as Deaconess, was a member of the Rebecca Class, sang in the Sanctuary Choir and played handbells. She also served on music committees, children committees, and the Reception Committee. Her church was such an integral part of her life. Gennie was a 15 year volunteer at Thomas Memorial Hospital. She was also an excellent seamstress and loved to make crafts! She used her talents in craft shows, for gifts, and at her job at Timeless Treasures. Gennie also enjoyed the Garden Club, winning ribbons for arrangements. Preceding her in death were her husband, Paul Edward Lee on November 7, 1988 and two sons, Paul Edward, Jr. on December 18, 1951 and Raymond Cecil on December 4, 1957. In addition were one sister, Kathleen Cook and two brothers, Kendell Perry and Jack Perry. She is survived by three daughters and one son, Sandy and Dave Mulcahy, Beaver, PA; Fred and Denise Lee, Tornado; Paula and Jay Gill, St. Albans; Debbie and Tom Dean, Cross Lanes; six cherished grandchildren, Jen (Eric) Blum, Beaver PA; Christy (Vince) Dioguardi, Beaver, PA; Matt Lee, Dallas, TX; Steven Gill, Charleston; Dr. Chad Dean, Cleveland, OH; Brian Lee, South Charleston; five great-grandchildren, David, Mike, and John Dioguardi and Dave and Anna Blum, all of Beaver, PA; one brother, Keith Perry, Winter Park, FL; three sisters, Faye High, Wanda Smith, and Carole Stowers, of St. Albans; numerous nieces, nephew, and cousins. Friends will be received Thursday, July 9th from 12:00 – 2:00 at First Baptist Church at 523 2nd Street, St. Albans, with arrangement by Bartlett Chapman Funeral Home. A service will be conducted Thursday at 2:00, also at the church by her pastor, Joel Harpold. Special music will be provided by Tom Hollinger, Director of Music, and Jen Blum.
